"Peony Evolution". Fine art print of pink peonies watercolor painting.
Three peony flowers, depicted in different stages: from a tiny bud to a beautilful big flower.
Paeonia rockii, or Rock's peony, is a woody species of tree peony that is native to the mountains of Gansu, China. In Chinese, it is known as 紫斑牡丹 (pinyin: zǐbān mǔdān). Apart from the decorative purposes, it is often used as a herbal remedy in traditional Chinese medicine.
I found these beautiful flowers in Bergianska botanical garden in Stockholm, my favorite place for inspiration!
Prints available in A4 and A5.
